How to Make a 3d Bedroom Model

Making a 3d bedroom model may seem daunting at first, but with the right tools and tips it can be a breeze. In this blog post we will walk you through the steps involved in creating an interior rendering of a bedroom. We’ll give you tips on how to choose the right furniture models, how to light your scene correctly, and how to render your final image. So whether you’re an experienced 3d artist or just getting started, this blog post has something for everyone!

Why do You Need a Model?

You’ll be able to create an interior rendering of your bedroom in no time. A model is essential for any architectural visualization project because it gives the viewer an idea of how the final product will look like before they invest their money and time into building one themselves! If done correctly, this can save both the client and contractor a lot of headaches.

Plans and Reference Images

The first step in making a bedroom model is to gather reference images. This will give you a better idea of how the room should look and help you plan the layout of your scene. Once you have your reference images, it’s time to start modeling! Blender, Revit and SketchUp are popular choices. There are varying learning curves, but they have plenty of features that will make your life easier when creating interior renderings.

If you’re starting from scratch, we recommend using SketchUp as it has an intuitive user interface with tools like push/pull which allow users to quickly create basic shapes like squares or circles with just a few clicks. Once you have a basic understanding of how the software works, you can start modeling your bedroom using more complex shapes.

Choosing Furniture Models

Now that we have our scene set up, it’s time to add furniture! We recommend using furniture models from sites like SketchUp Warehouse or TurboSquid as they come with pre-made textures and lighting effects. This will make rendering much easier on your computer because there’s less work that needs to be done by the graphics card (GPU).

When choosing furniture for your bedroom model, it’s important to keep in mind the scale of the scene. You’ll want to choose pieces that are appropriate for the size of the room, and you don’t want to overcrowd the space. It’s also important to make sure that your furniture models are high quality so they look good in your renderings.

To add furniture, simply drag-and-drop them into position in your scene and then adjust their size as necessary with the Scale tool. Make sure to check the scale! It is common for beginners to place things at incorrect sizes that will not work in the real world – and honestly, this is often what makes an image look wrong.

The Right Renderer for the Job!

When it comes time to render your model, how do you know which renderer is best? It really depends on how much detail you want in your final image and how fast you need it done. If using V-Ray or Corona then I’d recommend doing some research into GPU vs CPU rendering as they have their own strengths and weaknesses when it comes time to do some heavy lifting.
