Our client needed a 3D rendering of a shade they designed that would be built over a barbeque. It was important this structure served both form and function. They liked the idea of metal rebar looking almost like sticks in a convex design, so we showed both twisted and straight options for the cross pieces. We also experimented with the spacing of the metal pieces so the design provided just the right amount of shade. By showing sunlight effects in the rendering from multiple angles, it was easy to nail down the best of both worlds for a functional, artistic design.
